medium voltage training

commissioning and acceptance testing
in medium voltage systems

Definition

This seminar gives a practical guide for the planning and design of medium voltage systems (i.e. voltages < 1 kV~), based on the applicable standard ÖVE/ÖNORM E 8383 (identical with HD 637).

Content

  • determination of required system and grid data
  • calculation of required mains supply power and transformer
  • introduction to short-circuit calculations acc. to EN 60909 (VDE 0102)
  • basic elements of medium voltage systems
    (switchgear and their auxiliary equipment)
  • cabling in medium voltage installations
  • grounding and equipotential system
  • specific requirements for protection and control systems
  • planning of a medium voltage system based on actual data

Target Group

All persons directly involved in planning and construction of high-voltage systems, such as plant managers, project managers, construction site managers, project engineers, commissioning engineers.

Duration: 2 days (8 hours each)
